Although my last surgery did not compare to your experience, the recovery has some similarities: the ‘go slow’. The every frustrating ‘go slow’. Walking is all that was allowed. When I tried to push the envelope, it backfired. I felt good when behaving which made me want to move faster — but there is no fast in ‘go slow’.
Being bored is ok. Sometimes boredom is a motivator.
So glad your diet broadened to a nice glass of wine too.
